Hi I’m from near Ipswich. I’ve just joined – and didn’t even realise there was a VW community right on my door step! Here’s a few pics of my cars.

The Corrado I’ve had for just over a year, now, and have been slowly sorting out the various bugs that 18 year old cars seem to accumulate:

The Polo is an original G40 and which I’ve had for 24 years:

I’ll definitely try and get along to the local meets and say hello.

Thanks guys. The Corrado does look a bit tractor-like but it is my everyday car so ride comfort is pretty important. I've also recently replaced the tired, old dampers with OE-spec Bilstein B4s so I'll see just drive it for a bit before deciding if I need to do any more to the suspension. Having said that, the car does still feel quite big - you certainly notice the weight of the engine (VR6) up front, so the next change might be sooner than I'm expecting!

The Speedlines have been on the Polo for most of its life and do suit it very well, however I do have a new set of OZ Superleggeras about to go on the car in the next month or so (after some suspension refurbishment). Not sure how well the wheels will (visually) suit the car so will be hanging onto the Speedlines just in case!

Here's a couple of pictures of the engine:

You'll notice that the G40 charger has given way for a G60:

Of course, when I said the the car was original I was obviously refering to it as being one of the original MkII G40s as opposed to still being in the spec it left the factory :D

I'm liking both the cars. I had the same wheels on my c before I took it off the road for some light cosmetic work. That was four years ago now!
